A lot of people I know talk about investing, which has me thinking of investing some of my money, but how much money do I need to start investing? I am not a millionaire and won’t be turning rich any time soon, but I am sure that there has to be some investment opportunities for me. So how much money do I need to start investing? I’ve asked around and results seem to be varied, from looking into penny stocks to investing in funds with a low entry payment, I was still wondering, how much money do I need to start investing? If lets say I choose to find some hot penny stock then I might not need too much money—a couple of hundred dollars might do—but it seems too risky since penny stocks appear to be very volatile and I can lose my money in a heartbeat. So I then picked up some books to find how much money I need to start investing in funds and found that some funds will take customers with a deposit as low as 200 dollars. This seems like a safe bet, but investing 200 dollars in a fund seems a bit too slow for me. If I had over 20 thousand to invest, it might look a bit more appetizing. However, like any investing for dummies course will tell you, the first step to investing big is to invest small. So how much money do I need to start investing? It seems that it all depends on how much money you have to invest, because even a little bit today can turn into a fortune 30 to 40 years from now. Although I might stay way from those penny stocks.
